Set up Philips Hue
- Keep your iPhone on the same Wi-Fi as the Hue Bridge and allow local network access when iOS asks.
- In Stadium Room, open Lights › Add › Philips Hue. The app finds the bridge on your network.
- Press the link button on the bridge when asked.
- Choose the lights to bring in. Stadium Room builds an entertainment area for them.
- Put each light in a group (a lane in your shows) and calibrate sync once.
Good to know
- The Hue Bridge streams up to 20 channels at once. A colour bulb uses one; a gradient strip uses one per segment.
- Hue lights follow a show while Stadium Room is open and playing. The rest of the time they work in the Hue app as usual.
- Lights that can't stream (some older white-only bulbs) are marked in the picker.
Philips Hue questions
Does Stadium Room work with Philips Hue?
+
Yes. Stadium Room connects to the Hue Bridge and streams to colour bulbs, light strips and gradient lights using Hue's Entertainment API. You need a Hue Bridge; Bluetooth-only Hue bulbs without a bridge can't stream.
How many Hue lights can play a show at once?
+
Up to 20 channels per Hue Bridge, which is a limit of the bridge. A regular colour bulb is one channel and each segment of a gradient light is one channel.
Do I need Hue Sync or a Hue Play HDMI Sync Box?
+
No. Stadium Room talks to the Hue Bridge directly. It replaces nothing you own and needs no extra hardware.
Mix it with other lights
One show can play on several brands at once. Govee, WLED, Aura lights.
